The salon that keeps my locks golden is located in Porter which is just north of Kingwood, but south of Cleveland. About a year ago, they relocated down a country road and back up to what I am claiming to be a goat farm. WHITTLE GOATS, EVERYWHERE! Being the city gal I am, when I see things like goats, cows, roosters, and even ducks…. I freak out. It’s like seeing a dog walk on it’s hind legs! It’s so exciting!
Happy back to school time! The parents in my life are so ready but my sweet teacher friends are so not. One thing I know for certain is the yearn for a routine. The summers absolutely kill me. I hate the heat, everyone is taking their vacations, and cocktails make me feel better when I cry because I committed to an outdoor function.
While there are plenty of steps to be taken when creeping back, or forward, to a happy routine, one things means the most. Food. What are you eating? Even as importantly, what are you drinking?
These protein roll ups are the perfect lunch or afternoon snack. They’re easy to make, store, and keep well in a lunch kit. You can mix and match, add cheese (if that’s your thing), and get creative on the different meats! I opt’d for a basic Italian flare but let me let you, adding a little basil, garlic, and pine nuts to your mayo to make a creamy pesto would be the dream.

Perfect Protein Roll-Ups
Ingredients
- 1 slice turkey breast lunch meat
- 1/2 teaspoon high quality mayo
- 1 slice prosciutto
- 1 -2 slices roma tomato
- 3-4 arugula stems
Directions
- Lay lunch mean flat and spoon mayonnaise onto one side of the meat. Cover mayonnaise with prosciutto, sliced tomato, and arugula. Roll and enjoy.
